Regis Corporation's expansion into the United Kingdom began twenty years ago with the acquisition of a U.K. hairdressing group, Glemby Europe, Ltd. Since then, we've grown to over 400 Regis-owned salons and academies.
Timeline:
1990: Regis enters the U.K. by purchasing Glemby Europe Ltd., 150 salons located in department stores
1992: The first Regis Europe stand-alone salon opens in Meadowhall Shopping Centre, Sheffield
1995: The first Trade Secret salon opens in Europe; also acquires Essanelle, 80 salons located in department stores
1996: Regis acquires 20 land-based Steiner salons and 72 salons formerly owned by Alan Paul Plc
1999: Regis acquires 70 Supercuts salons
2002: Regis acquires Vidal Sassoon salons and academies
2007: Regis acquires HCUK salons
